The Portuguese star started the match despite suffering from fatigue during Al-Ettifaq’s previous league game against Roshan, raising questions about his readiness to face the prestigious Emirati club.

Ronaldo recovered and opened the scoring for Al-Nassr in the 11th minute, marking his first goal in the AFC Champions League 2.

This goal brought Ronaldo’s career total to 969 goals for various clubs and national teams, an unprecedented achievement. He now needs just 31 more goals to reach the milestone of 1,000.

Ronaldo has now scored 125 goals for Al-Nassr across all competitions since joining the first team in the winter of 2013. He has also provided 23 assists in 141 appearances.

Ronaldo has scored in 25 different competitions across his career with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al-Nassr, as well as the Portuguese national team.

He also participated in two competitions without scoring: the UEFA Cup with Sporting Lisbon (before it was rebranded as the Europa League in 2009) and the Community Shield with Manchester United.

Iñigo Martínez scored the second goal in the 24th minute, and Abdulilah Al-Amri added the third in the 26th minute, before Sadio Mané completed the rout in the 80th minute.

Al-Nassr, led by Ronaldo, will await the winner of the Al-Hussein Irbid vs. Al-Ahli Qatar match in the semi-finals.

If Al-Nassr overcomes this hurdle, they will face the renowned Japanese club Gamba Osaka in the final.

It’s worth noting that Al-Nassr also leads the Saudi Professional League by eight points over Al-Hilal, with the latter having played one game less, with five rounds remaining.
