Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that winning individual awards no longer matters to him, and that all he focuses on is enjoying football.
The 39-year-old led Al-Nassr to an important victory over Al-Rayyan 2-1 on Tuesday in the AFC Champions League for the elite, after scoring the second goal for Stefano Pioli’s squad.
After the match, Ronaldo was asked about what football means to him as he gets older, to which he replied, “I play football just to enjoy now, as I realize that I do not have much time left on the pitch.”
He also added, “For me, it is no longer important to win the best player award or any other award.”
He concluded, “The most important thing for me now is to enjoy football and help my team achieve victories.”
Ronaldo participated with Al-Nassr this season in 7 matches in all tournaments, during which he scored 6 goals and made others.
