Rodri: There’s a refereeing conspiracy against Manchester City!

Manchester City captain Rodri launched a scathing attack on English referees, accusing them of wanting to bring his team down, following the events of Sunday’s match against Tottenham.

City took a 2-0 lead, but Spurs pulled one back with a controversial goal from Dominic Solanke, who then scored a late equalizer for Tottenham, leaving Pep Guardiola’s side to drop two crucial points in the Premier League title race.

The Spanish international expressed his outrage at the refereeing decisions, saying, “If the first goal hadn’t been scored, we might have won the game. The referees need to pay attention to this. Jehi was kicked in the leg; it was a clear foul.”

He added, “I never talk about referees. I have great respect for their work, but they need to pay attention to these things. He committed a clear foul on Solanke, but it’s not just today; it’s happened in two or three consecutive matches.”

“I know we’ve had a lot of wins, and people don’t want us to win,” he continued. “But the referee should be impartial.”

“This isn’t fair. We put in a lot of effort in these situations. We have to move on, and we certainly have to bounce back, but after the game, we’re frustrated because the mistake was clear.”

It’s worth noting that Manchester City are currently second in the Premier League table with 47 points, three points behind leaders Arsenal after 24 rounds of matches.
