Despite Real Madrid’s management’s insistence on him, Dani Ceballos is determined to leave the club during the current summer transfer window.
Spanish journalist Andrés Martínez confirmed that the disagreements between Ceballos and coach Xabi Alonso are significant, and that the player realizes he will not have any opportunities to play next season.
Although Alonso appreciates Ceballos’s skills, he does not fit his style of play, and his role will be limited to that of a substitute, used only in cases of injury, which is completely inconsistent with the Spanish international’s desires and ambitions.
According to the report, Ceballos is currently pressuring Real Madrid’s management to allow him to leave and join Real Betis.
The Andalusian club is looking to sign a new midfielder after Isco’s injury, which will keep him out for months. Officials believe Ceballos is the ideal choice given his deep knowledge of the situation at Benito Villamarín.
The crisis remains that Real Madrid’s management does not want to let Ceballos go, considering his departure would reduce the number of midfielders available. However, the player is adamant about his position and hopes to convince Florentino Pérez to accept Betis’ offer.
Betis reportedly offered no more than €5 million for Ceballos, while Real Madrid does not intend to sell for less than €15 to €20 million.
It’s worth noting that Marca previously reported interest from Saudi clubs in signing Ceballos, but the player’s desire remains to return to Betis and nothing else.
