Reports: Lunin may move to Real Madrid’s eternal rival!

The Relevo network revealed that there is great interest from Atletico Madrid in signing the goalkeeper of neighboring Real Madrid, Andrey Lunin, in the upcoming summer transfer period.

Lunin’s contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2025, and so far he has not reached an agreement with the Royal Club about renewing his contract, although negotiations are ongoing between the two parties.

It is expected that Jan Oblak will leave Atletico Madrid after a long career with the Rojiblancos, and the capital club began searching for his successor, and settled on the name Lunin.

Atletico does not mind making a big financial offer to Real Madrid in order to obtain the Ukrainian goalkeeper, as there is great belief in the goalkeeper’s abilities, which he demonstrated throughout the season.

Lunin’s own position on leaving Real Madrid is still unknown, as it is clear that he will not play a starting role in the presence of Thibaut Courtois next season, and thus he may prefer to move to another club.

According to Relevo, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez does not want Lunin to move to a direct opponent such as Atletico Madrid, and it is assumed that there will be intense negotiations to renew the contract with the goalkeeper in the coming days.
