Real Madrid star agrees to pay cut to escape Alonso’s hell!

Dani Ceballos realizes that his chances of staying at Real Madrid have diminished since Xabi Alonso took over the Spanish club, and now he’s ready to leave immediately during the current summer transfer window.

As newspaper confirmed that Ceballos is considering only one option if he leaves: a return to his former club, Real Betis.

According to the report, the Andalusian club made an official offer to Real Madrid to buy out the remaining two years of Ceballos’ contract for €5 million, but the Merengue management rejected the offer, demanding €15 million as a condition for accepting the sale.

Negotiations are currently ongoing between the two parties, and they should reach a common ground soon. Ceballos will be the first of Xabi Alonso’s squad to leave soon, especially since the player has not convinced the coach and will likely remain on the bench if he stays with Los Blancos.

In the same context, AS revealed that Ceballos made major concessions to return to Betis, most notably a significant salary cut to align with Benito Villamarín’s budget.

Real Madrid hopes to close this deal soon to raise additional funds to help the club sign another striker or defender this summer. It is unlikely that a new midfielder will replace Ceballos this year, as the club only wants Manchester City star Rodri, who is expected to be available next summer.
