AS reported that Real Madrid officials have agreed on the Spanish club’s first signing of the 2026 summer transfer window.
According to the report, everyone at the Santiago Bernabéu is impressed by the performance of young player Chema Andrés since his transfer to Stuttgart last summer for €3 million.
Real Madrid has the right to re-sign the 20-year-old through a buy-back clause for a sum not exceeding €15 million. Given Andrés’s brilliance in the Bundesliga, the Merengue management intends to activate this clause at the end of the current season.
Officials believe Andrés will be an ideal replacement for Aurelien Tchouameni next season, and they can build on him to become the future of Real Madrid’s midfield, especially since the player has demonstrated great aggression and a remarkable passing ability that makes him one of the best young players in the world.
Chema had stated a few days ago that his biggest dream in his career was to return to Real Madrid. However, Stuttgart’s management cannot stop the deal due to contractual terms between the two parties, making it a matter of time before things get done.
Chema isn’t the only player expected to return to Real Madrid in the summer of 2026. Real Madrid officials are also planning to buy back Nico Paz from Como. The player rejected a move to Tottenham last summer because of Real Madrid’s promise that he would return next year.
