Real Madrid Player Moves to Brazilian League

Reinier Jesus’ modest career with Real Madrid will come to an end, with the club agreeing to sell him for a small fee, allowing him to return to the Brazilian league.

Jesus joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2020 from Flamengo for €30 million, but he failed to impress any coach at the Santiago Bernabéu with his abilities and was loaned out four times over the years.

Real Madrid had already planned to offload the 23-year-old Jesus this summer, even if it was for free. In recent days, Atlético Mineiro have expressed interest in bringing the player back to Brazil, and negotiations between all parties have progressed positively.

Real Madrid is expected to officially announce Jesus’ transfer to Mineiro within hours, without disclosing the value of the deal. However, it is expected to be no more than €2 million, if not almost free.

Although Jesus spent the past five years with Real Madrid, he never made an official appearance for the first team and only briefly played for the reserve team, which proved to be a disappointing performance.

The Brazilian was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in Germany, then returned to La Liga with Girona, then moved to Frosinone in Italy, and spent his final season with Granada in the Spanish second division.
