Mundo Deportivo reported that there is a state of anger within Real Madrid over Barcelona star Lamine Yamal’s recent statements, in which he said that the club “steals and then complains.”
Yamal appeared on a podcast about the Kings League, run by Barcelona legend Gerard Piqué, during which he mocked Real Madrid on several occasions. Most notably, he said that the club steals and that he has scored a lot and could win 4-0 against Los Blancos again at the Santiago Bernabéu.
According to the latest report, Real Madrid is dissatisfied with what Yamal said, considering it a sign of “disrespect” that should not exist between players, even threatening the general atmosphere within the Spanish national team between Real Madrid and Barcelona players.
Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal intends to speak with Yamal on Sunday after El Clásico about these statements, reprimanding him for what he said and urging him to stop making such “stupid” comments. Not only is he mentioning Real Madrid, but it would have been a terrible thing to do with any other Spanish club.
Mundo Deportivo also confirmed that Barcelona officials are not happy with Yamal’s statements, with many considering them “stupid.” For the first time, the 18-year-old will find himself completely unsupported by the situation.
