It seems the feud between Real Madrid fans and Vinicius Junior is over, after he was reconciled with by those present at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium before Sunday’s La Liga match against Real Betis.
The Bernabéu crowd had booed Vinicius during the final match of 2015 against Sevilla, which greatly upset the player.
In response, Vinicius deleted a photo of himself in a Real Madrid shirt from his Instagram account and expressed his dissatisfaction to the press, stating that the fans were blaming him for the recent decline in results and performance.
With the start of 2025, it seems the Real Madrid fans have forgiven Vinicius. As soon as he stepped onto the Bernabéu pitch to warm up before the Betis match, he received a thunderous ovation and overwhelming support from the stands.
There’s no doubt that Real Madrid fans wanted to send a message to the 25-year-old that he remains one of their star players and has their full support. This could also give him a significant morale boost ahead of the crucial and challenging period ahead for Los Blancos this season.
It’s worth noting that Vinicius will lead Real Madrid next week in Saudi Arabia, where Los Blancos will face Atlético Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final, hoping to overcome Los Rojiblancos and reach the final to face the winner of the Barcelona vs. Athletic Bilbao match.
