Real Madrid TV revealed that the club’s management plans to file an official complaint against Spanish refereeing with FIFA.
Real Madrid suffered a controversial refereeing decision by Gil Manzano in the match against Real Sociedad, when he showed a red card to Dejan Huijsen.
Immediately after the match ended with Los Blancos winning 2-1, Real Madrid TV opened fire on the refereeing, as it has done over the past two years.
According to the channel, Real Madrid’s management is fed up with the Spanish Football Federation’s indifference to the refereeing crisis, and that it has failed miserably in recent years to provide solutions.
The channel reported that Real Madrid has decided to turn to FIFA in the hope of decisive intervention in this matter, and that official communications will be made in the coming days.
Real Madrid is currently preparing a report detailing everything that happened with the refereeing in La Liga last season and this season and will submit it to FIFA.
It is unknown what FIFA may offer in this regard, but this move primarily aims to increase pressure on the Spanish Football Federation to implement comprehensive and structural changes to the refereeing system.
