Real Madrid and Liverpool are in dispute over the price of Arnold’s participation in the Club World Cup!

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid is only a matter of time, but the Spanish club wants it to happen early so the right-back can participate in the Club World Cup, which is scheduled to begin in mid-June.

Arnold’s current contract with Liverpool stipulates that he will remain at Anfield until June 30, meaning that if Real Madrid wants to acquire the player before that date, they will have to pay compensation to the Reds.

Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Florentino Pérez’s administration is willing to pay Liverpool more than £500,000 to terminate Arnold’s contract at the end of May, allowing the player to join Real Madrid early and participate in the Club World Cup.

However, the crisis lies in the fact that Liverpool’s management wants an even higher sum, as the English club is seeking at least £1.7 million to allow Arnold to leave early.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s management will ask Arnold to waive the remaining £1 million he owes for June to terminate the contract.

Real Madrid is seeking to resolve the issue in the coming period, especially given the clear crisis at right-back. Arnold’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu will resolve the issue and increase Kylian Mbappé’s teammates’ chances of winning the Club World Cup and receiving more than €100 million as a winning bonus.
