Real Madrid’s management has reached an agreement with Carlo Ancelotti for his departure before the 2025 Club World Cup.
According to The Athletic, an agreement has been reached between Ancelotti and Real Madrid to part ways after the final round of La Liga matches, scheduled for May 24 or 25 against Real Sociedad.
There is now a verbal agreement for Ancelotti’s departure, and an announcement could be made as soon as next week after Sunday’s El Clásico.
Ancelotti is expected to formally sign his contract to coach the Brazilian national team, despite recent reports that Jorge Jesus is close to taking over.
The Italian coach has already agreed on contract terms with the Brazilian Football Confederation, but he refuses to sign until the fate of La Liga is decided.
Real Madrid trails Barcelona by four points, making Sunday’s El Clásico crucial, given that there are only three matches left in the competition.
