Real Madrid gave the final go-ahead for former player Alex Jimenez to move from AC Milan to Bournemouth in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
Jimenez moved to Milan on loan in the summer of 2023, before the Italian club bought him the following summer for €5 million, with a buy-back option.
In recent days, Bournemouth tried to sign the 20-year-old, and Milan welcomed the sale, but Real Madrid’s approval was required first.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid has agreed to the deal, making it only a matter of time before Jimenez’s arrival at Bournemouth is officially announced.
The deal will be on a one-year loan, with a buy-back option in the summer of 2026, reportedly worth over €20 million.
Although Jimenez was one of Milan’s standout players last season, his relationship with coach Massimiliano Allegri has been severely strained recently, while Real Madrid has not needed his services with Álvaro Carreras and Ferland Mendy on the left flank.
