Rafinha has returned to Barcelona after spending a few days in Brazil resting as he begins his recovery from his recent injury.
The 29-year-old was injured during Brazil’s first friendly match against France during the international break and needs at least a month before he can return to play for the Catalan club.
Hansi Flick granted Rafinha leave to visit his family in Brazil before he returned to Barcelona on Monday morning.
According to the newspaper Sport, Rafinha boarded a private plane from Brazil and arrived at Catalonia’s airport smiling and appearing calm and confident.
The Brazilian international aims to return to action for Barcelona starting with the match against Real Madrid, scheduled for May 10 at the Camp Nou.
It’s worth noting that Rafinha has been a key player for Barcelona this season, despite suffering several injuries over the past few months. He has scored 19 goals and provided 8 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
If he returns against Real Madrid, Rafinha could witness Barça’s La Liga title win. Several scenarios could lead to this, as the gap between the two rivals has widened to 7 points with only 8 matches remaining.
