Premier League giants ready to pay €150 million for Vinicius

Chelsea’s interest in signing Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has grown stronger than ever, to the point that the English club is working on allocating a significant budget to finalize the deal during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Vinicius’ contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2027, and the club’s management has made it clear that the player must renew before next summer, otherwise he will be sold rather than leave for free the following year.

So far, negotiations between Vinicius and Real Madrid have not progressed as hoped, and the boos directed at the player by the Santiago Bernabéu crowd in recent matches make a separation between the two parties seem imminent.

According to The Guardian, Chelsea is closely monitoring Vinicius’s situation and has earmarked £135 million (€150 million) to convince Real Madrid to sell their Brazilian gem.

Thus, Vinicius would become the most expensive signing in Premier League history, surpassing Alexander Isak’s €145 million move from Newcastle to Liverpool in the summer of 2025.

The London club isn’t the only one interested in signing Vinicius. The Saudi league could also enter the race once it’s confirmed that the player will leave Los Blancos. Real Madrid could then open the bidding for the 25-year-old if his desire to leave is confirmed, potentially securing a substantial financial gain.

Vinicius hasn’t yet made his final decision, but at the moment, a departure seems the most likely outcome, especially since contract renewal negotiations between him and Real Madrid have stalled due to his exorbitant salary demands (€30 million annually).
