Paris Saint-Germain star: I’m better than Lamine Yamal!

The 2025 Ballon d’Or race is heating up, as is the battle to be named the world’s best young player of recent times. There’s no doubt that Lamine Yamal leads both teams, but that doesn’t sit well with some Paris Saint-Germain stars.

The Champions League-winning team includes Ousmane Dembélé, a top candidate for the Ballon d’Or alongside Yamal, and Désiré Doue, the youngest scorer in the history of the Paris Saint-Germain final and one of the most talented young players in the world.

A fan captured a video of Doue asking a straightforward question: Who’s better, you or Lamine Yamal?

The 19-year-old Doue didn’t hesitate to answer, simply saying: “Me!”

Football fans are still waiting for Lamine Yamal’s response, as he’s one of the most controversial players and often relentless in his response to all his critics and those who compare himself to him.

Désiré Doue’s most recent individual achievement was being named the Best Young Player at the 2025 Club World Cup with Paris Saint-Germain.

Doue joined PSG in the summer of 2024 from Rennes for €50 million and quickly established himself as one of the best wingers in the world. The numbers speak for themselves, having scored 16 goals and provided as many assists in his first season at the Parc des Princes.
