Argentine media reported that Paris Saint-Germain has clinched a deal that Real Madrid has long been interested in.
The subject here is Argentinean jewel Franco Mastrantuono, who has been on Real Madrid’s radar since his emergence with River Plate, and many believe he will be the club’s most important signing.
Until last week, Spanish media reported that the 17-year-old was very close to a move to Real Madrid. It was said that the Spanish club had an agreement with the player, and that only the agreement with River Plate remained.
However, in recent hours, Argentine media confirmed that PSG had practically clinched the deal after officials from the French club met with the player’s agents and their counterparts at River Plate in recent days.
There is a near-agreement with the player on all personal terms, and negotiations are progressing very positively with his Argentine club, which is initially asking for €45 million.
Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Mastrantuono comes at the direct request of coach Luis Enrique, but the player is unlikely to join any club before the end of the year, when the Argentine season concludes.
Since his promotion to the River Plate first team, Mastrantuono has made 58 official appearances and made history by becoming the youngest player to score in the Superclásico against Boca Juniors.
