Gonzalo Garcia made an exceptional impact when he started in Real Madrid’s match against Real Betis in the 18th round of La Liga.
Kylian Mbappe is absent from Real Madrid due to an injury that will keep him out of action until the end of January, forcing coach Xabi Alonso to search for a replacement for his star player this season.
Alonso decided to start Garcia in the center forward position after his impressive past with Real Madrid, when he was crowned top scorer in the 2015 Club World Cup with four goals.
In the 20th minute, Garcia capitalized on a free kick from the left flank, delivered by Rodrygo, heading it perfectly to give Los Blancos the first goal against Betis.
In the 50th minute, the 21-year-old scored a truly world-class goal, controlling the ball with his chest on the edge of the penalty area before unleashing an unstoppable volley that resulted in Real Madrid’s second goal.

In the 82nd minute, Garcia scored his third goal, a hat-trick, after a low cross from Arda Guler, which he brilliantly backheeled into the goal.
