Al-Nassr is seeking to sign one of Real Madrid’s stars in the upcoming summer transfer window, based on a direct recommendation from the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Saudi club has become attractive to many big names, given the presence of Ronaldo and a constellation of top footballers such as João Félix, Sadio Mané, and Kingsley Coman.
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger, whose contract with the Royal Club expires at the end of the current season, could be added to this impressive squad under coach Jorge Jesus.
According to Spanish reports, Ronaldo himself is pressuring Al-Nassr’s management to make an attractive offer to the German international and sign him on a free transfer in June 2026.
Real Madrid has yet to decide on renewing Rüdiger’s contract or letting him go. There is still uncertainty surrounding the matter due to the 33-year-old’s inconsistent performances resulting from numerous injuries over the past year.
German newspapers had previously indicated that Rüdiger wanted to move to Saudi Arabia in the next stage of his career, but his priority remained staying for another year with Real Madrid.
Ultimately, Al-Nassr is preparing a record-breaking offer for Rüdiger in terms of salary and role within the club’s sporting project, which might sway him towards the move to Riyadh even if Real Madrid or any other European club tries to sign him.
It’s worth noting that Real Madrid is working to bring in a central defender next summer, regardless of whether Rüdiger stays or leaves, to prepare for the post-Rüdiger and Éder Militão era at the Santiago Bernabéu.
