Officially, the stadium for the Barcelona vs. Valencia match in La Liga has been decided

Barcelona has finally settled the controversy surrounding which stadium will host the Catalan club’s La Liga match against Valencia.

Barcelona played its first three La Liga matches away from home, hoping that the Camp Nou stadium would return to life, starting with the Valencia match, after a significant portion of its construction was completed.

So far, Barcelona has failed to obtain the necessary permits from the Spanish authorities to hold a football match at Camp Nou.

Ultimately, after exhausting all options, Barcelona accepted the situation and decided to play the Valencia match at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, which only seats 6,000 spectators, as an exceptional temporary solution until the license to operate Camp Nou was secured.

La Liga had agreed to hold the match there, provided that Barça installs the necessary VAR infrastructure at the stadium, which would cost the Blaugrana more than €70,000.

Barcelona hopes the licensing crisis will be resolved quickly, allowing the Getafe match to be played the following Sunday at Camp Nou. The club also hopes to play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League there, although this remains unlikely at the moment.
