Bayern Munich were officially crowned Bundesliga champions for the 2025-26 season after a 4-2 victory over Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena in the 30th round of matches.
The Bavarian giants capitalized on Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat to Hoffenheim on Saturday, meaning Bayern only needed a draw against Stuttgart to mathematically secure the title.
Bayern Munich crushes Stuttgart with four goals
Despite Vincent Kompany’s decision to field a number of reserve players, Bayern Munich remained dominant, even though third-placed Stuttgart are considered one of the strongest teams in the Bundesliga this season.
The visitors surprised the home side with an early goal from Chris Führrich in the 21st minute, but the southern club’s lead didn’t last long. Raphaël Guerreiro equalized in the 31st minute, and then Nicholas Jackson put Bayern ahead in the 33rd.
Alphonso Davies effectively ended any hopes of a Stuttgart comeback by scoring the third goal in the 37th minute, before Harry Kane completed the rout in the 51st minute.
In the 88th minute, Ciema Andreas, on loan from Real Madrid, scored a consolation goal for Stuttgart, but it was too little, too late. Bayern secured the title and also triumphed over their city rivals in the famous southern German derby.

The dream of a historic treble still haunts Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich still has a chance to achieve a historic treble for the third time in its history. After securing the Bundesliga title, the Bavarians will now focus on two competitions: the German Cup and the Champions League.
Bayern hasn’t won the German Cup since 2020, and now they have a golden opportunity to break this drought. They will face Bayer Leverkusen next week at the BayArena in the semi-finals. If they win, they will face the winner of the Freiburg vs. Stuttgart match in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
In the Champions League, the task appears more complicated. Kompany’s team faces the defending champions, Paris Saint-Germain, in the semi-finals. If they overcome the French giants, the Bavarians will face the winner of the Arsenal vs. Atlético Madrid match in the final at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
It is worth noting that Bayern Munich achieved the historic treble with Jupp Heynckes in 2012-2013, and repeated the feat with Hansi Flick in 2019-2020, although the latter then succeeded in leading the southern giant to win the historic sextuple for the first time in history, an achievement only Pep Guardiola has accomplished with Barcelona.
