Iraqi club Zakho FC has been crowned the Best Fans in the World 2025 award presented by FIFA.
A grand ceremony is scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar, this Tuesday evening to announce the winners of “The Best 2025” awards.
Among the awards is the Best Fans award, which went to Zakho’s supporters after their remarkable initiative to donate toys and gifts to sick children.
This exceptional gesture occurred before the Al-Hudood match in the Iraqi league last May, when Zakho fans threw thousands of stuffed toys onto the pitch, which were later collected and donated to sick children.
The Best Fans award was launched in 2016, with Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool being the first winners. Zakho is the first club from Asia to win this prestigious award.
