Officially.. Al Hilal announces Neymar’s departure

Al Hilal club announced in an official statement the termination of Neymar’s contract by mutual consent between the two parties.

The Brazilian international joined the Saudi club in the summer of 2023, but he only played 7 matches due to injuries.

Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus decided to exclude Neymar from the local list, after which the player saw that he had to leave the Blue Wave before the end of the current winter Mercato.

Indeed, Neymar succeeded in his efforts, and reached an agreement with Al Hilal to terminate the contract, so that he could leave for free to any club he wanted.

The 31-year-old waived a large portion of his financial dues, which are said to have reached 65 million euros.

After his journey with Al Hilal ends, Neymar will move to Santos, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Neymar will head to Brazil in the next few hours to undergo a medical examination and then sign a two-year contract with Santos.

It is noteworthy that Santos is the club where Neymar began his career before moving to Barcelona in 2013, then moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, and from there to Al-Hilal in 2023 for 90 million euros.
