Not Liverpool… Another English club planning to sign Rodrygo

A new English club has joined the list of clubs interested in signing Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes during the current summer transfer window.

While the Brazilian international insists he wants to stay with Real Madrid, the reality is that his departure is imminent after falling out of favor with coach Xabi Alonso.

According to AS, Tottenham is the latest club interested in signing Rodrygo this summer and is willing to pay a large sum to secure the 23-year-old’s signature, at the direct request of Danish coach Thomas Frank.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a special relationship with Madrid president Florentino Pérez, which he will try to exploit to reach a satisfactory agreement for the London club regarding the deal, especially since Real Madrid has initially set a price of €90 million for Rodrygo.

Tottenham isn’t the only English club interested in signing Rodrygo. Liverpool are also interested in the player as a replacement for the expected departure of Luis Diaz, and Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly yet to withdraw from the deal.

Real Madrid hopes to reap the maximum financial benefit possible from selling Rodrygo this summer, which threatens his transfer to Tottenham, who are willing to pay no more than €70 million for the distinguished right winger.
