The Saudi Investment Fund is trying to persuade Lionel Messi to join the Roshen League, and has offered him two options if he decides to leave Inter Miami.
The Saudi newspaper “Al-Maydan Al-Riyadi” reported that discussions are already taking place between the fund and Messi’s representatives, resulting in the 37-year-old welcoming the move to the Saudi League.
Initially, the fund decided not to force Messi to join a specific club in Saudi Arabia, and has given him two options: the first is to move to Al-Hilal, and the other is Al-Ahli Jeddah.
This was also confirmed by L’Equipe in a report on Monday, which revealed that Al-Ahli is intensifying its negotiations to convince Messi, amid close monitoring by Al-Hilal.
Messi has not yet made a final decision regarding his next move, and the option of continuing with Inter Miami remains open, especially since the American club is currently taking several steps to persuade Messi to renew.
Messi’s priority is reportedly to remain in America at the moment, given his family’s preference for living there. He will also not return to Europe, as he has no desire to play for any club other than Barcelona, and it is virtually impossible for him to return to the Catalan club.
