Not Bellingham or Vinicius.. Ancelotti demands that another Real Madrid player win the Ballon d’Or!
Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, believes that Toni Kroos deserves to win the Ballon d’Or 2024 even if the shares go to other players.
Vinicius Junior is considered the favorite so far to win the most important individual award in football, followed by another star from the Royal Club, Jude Bellingham.
Speaking to the press, Ancelotti said about the Ballon d’Or, “I want to see Kroos win the Ballon d’Or, but I think this will happen.”
He also added, “Anything is possible. I think he will be a fierce competitor for the award if he wins the Champions League and Euro 2024 with the German national team.”
Kroos is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career, as he participated in 46 matches in all tournaments with Real Madrid, scoring a goal and assisting 9 others, and he succeeded in winning the La Liga title so far.
The 34-year-old’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires at the end of the current season, and he has not yet made his decision to stay for another year or to retire from football permanently.
