Not Arab… A New Club Enters the Race to Sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Journalist Nicolas Schira revealed a new club has expressed interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo to participate with them in the 2025 Club World Cup.

Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr has expired, and it is likely that it will not be renewed after the Saudi club failed to qualify for the AFC Champions League, in addition to not winning any titles in the last two years.

Many potential destinations have been proposed for Ronaldo, such as Saudi club Al-Hilal and Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca, but the latest club to show interest is a Mexican club.

The subject here is Monterrey, which also plays for Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos and has the financial means to pay Ronaldo’s exorbitant salary.

It is said that Ramos himself will intervene and explain to Ronaldo the Monterrey project and the advantages of joining the Mexican giants, hoping to convince him to make the move.

Monterrey wants to sign Ronaldo for a year, in an experience that will not be limited to his participation in the Club World Cup, just as the 40-year-old wants.

Monterrey will participate in the World Cup in a group that includes Inter Milan of Italy, Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan, and River Plate of Argentina.
