Journalist Mateo Moretto has revealed Barcelona’s plans for the upcoming summer transfer window, one of which involves selling one of the Catalan club’s key players at the end of the current season.
The player in question is Alejandro Balde, Barça’s left-back, whom the club’s management no longer considers “untouchable” as they did just a few months ago.
Moretto stated, “Deco (the sporting director) has his own ideas, including doubts about Alejandro Balde’s future. Barcelona is ready to listen to offers; Balde is no longer an untouchable player.”
He added, “It’s similar to Camavinga’s situation at Real Madrid; Alejandro Balde could leave if a good financial offer arrives.”
The renowned journalist from Radio Marca explained that Paris Saint-Germain was the most interested in signing Balde two years ago, and this interest is likely to be renewed once his situation is clarified next summer.
It’s no secret that Barcelona needs at least one sale next summer to fund transfers, and it seems that Balde will be the one to make that sale.
Balde has been a key player at left-back this season, but he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and is not expected to return until after the international break.
