The saga of Hamed Hamdan’s future has finally come to an end after much speculation since last summer regarding the Petrojet star’s future.
Zamalek tried hard to sign the Palestinian player last summer, but Petrojet refused to let their star player leave and agreed with the White Knights to finalize the deal in January 2026.
Zamalek suffered a severe financial crisis that prevented them from activating the previous agreement with Petrojet, and Al Ahly entered the negotiations with the player, especially after his outstanding performance with the Palestinian national team in the 2025 Arab Cup.
However, in the end, Hamed Hamdan will join Pyramids FC, despite Al Ahly’s efforts in recent hours to secure the deal in their favor.
According to Egyptian newspapers, Hamed Hamdan’s own desire was the deciding factor. He preferred Pyramids FC’s offer to Al Ahly’s due to the substantial financial package awaiting him at the blue club, where he will earn $1 million annually.
Meanwhile, Pyramids FC and Petrojet have agreed on the financial details of the deal. The African Champions League winners are set to pay the petroleum club 40 million Egyptian pounds for their star player.
It’s worth noting that the 25-year-old player received several offers from abroad recently, most notably from Libya. It was also reported that Saudi and Qatari clubs tried to sign him, but he preferred to remain in Egypt.
