Reports from Turkey last Friday initially indicated that the “Egyptian King” was closing in on a move to Beşiktaş. However, a massive 35% agent commission requested by his agent, Ramy Abbas, temporarily stalled the deal.

Latest updates suggest that Salah’s wife prefers relocating to a Muslim-majority country, a key personal factor that could weigh in favor of the Turkish giants as negotiations continue.

The report added that Beşiktaş has reached a principle agreement on personal terms. Under the proposed contract, the 34-year-old forward would earn a base salary of €10 million per year, alongside performance-related bonuses and trophies incentives that could reach up to €2 million.

Despite the positive momentum, a final deal has not yet been sealed. Discussions remain ongoing to resolve all outstanding financial details, though there is growing optimism that the agent commission issue will be settled in time to announce Salah’s arrival in the Süper Lig by early August.
