Foot Mercato revealed that Luka Modric received an offer from the Saudi League in the past few hours.
The Croatian international will leave Real Madrid after the Club World Cup. He has no plans to retire, but rather wants to continue playing football for another year.
According to the latest report, Saudi club Al-Nassr has joined the list of clubs interested in signing the 38-year-old.
Al-Nassr has already made an attractive offer to Modric, and it is said that Cristiano Ronaldo could play a major role in clinching the deal for the Knights of Najd.
The report spoke of an alleged phone call between Modric and Ronaldo, during which Ronaldo explained Al-Nassr’s project to his former Real Madrid teammate.
However, Ronaldo’s future remains uncertain, as he hinted that he would leave Al-Nassr after failing to win any collective titles in the last two years.
Al-Nassr is not the only Saudi club interested in Modric; Al-Ettifaq is also interested.
Beyond Saudi Arabia, Modric has an offer from Inter Miami, as well as from a number of major Brazilian clubs.
