Lionel Messi admitted that he never felt happy during his experience with Paris Saint-Germain, while praising his current experience with Inter Miami.
The flea left Barça due to financial crises in 2022, then headed to PSG for two years, from where he moved to his first experiences outside Europe with the American club.
In a lengthy interview, Messi talked about his experience in Paris and said, “I was forced to leave Barcelona, and then I spent two years in Barcelona that I never enjoyed.”
He also added, “I was not happy every day, I did not feel that even in training or matches, it was difficult for me to adapt here.”
Regarding his experience with Inter Miami, he said, “It was always in my mind that at some point I would play in the American League, I always wanted this move.”
He concluded, “Inter Miami attracted me as a club because of its development and growth, I wanted to come here to help them become bigger, and to give the American League more strength to become a global league.”
