Marotta Ends Al Hilal’s Hopes of Signing Inzaghi

Inter president Beppe Marotta confirmed that Simone Inzaghi will continue as Nerazzurri coach next season, and that he is the cornerstone of the Italian club’s project.

In recent weeks, Inzaghi has been linked with a move to Al Hilal, with the Saudi club reportedly making a lucrative offer to the Italian coach that would make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the world.

Inzaghi successfully led Inter to the Champions League final after eliminating Barcelona in the semi-finals. Marotta then responded to reports of the coach’s departure.

Marotta: Inzaghi Will Remain at Inter

Regarding Inzaghi’s future, Marotta said, “Once again, Inzaghi has shown what an excellent coach he is. All the praise should go to him.”

He added, “Inzaghi is the cornerstone of the Inter project. The entire project revolves around him. He will undoubtedly remain with us, and there is no intention of him leaving.”

The 49-year-old coach’s contract runs until the summer of 2026, and Marotta confirmed that negotiations will begin between his club and Inzaghi to renew for the longest possible period.

Inzaghi’s Achievements with Inter

Inzaghi took over as Inter coach from Antonio Conte in the summer of 2021 and has since achieved numerous accomplishments.

With Inzaghi, Inter reached the 2022 Champions League final, losing to Manchester City. He also won the Italian League title once, the Coppa Italia twice, and the Italian Super Cup three times.

Who is the new Al-Hilal coach to replace Jorge Jesus?

With Inzaghi finally out of the picture, the list of candidates for the Al-Hilal club management to succeed Jorge Jesus is narrowing.

According to the latest news from Saudi newspapers, Fulham coach Marco Silva is the most likely to coach the Blue Wave after reaching a near-term agreement with him.

However, the legendary Jose Mourinho remains a topic of discussion amid expectations that he will leave Fenerbahçe at the end of the current season.
