Egyptian press reports indicate that Omar Marmoush has received offers from Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray to join one of them during the current winter transfer window.
Marmoush is finding it very difficult to secure a regular starting position with Manchester City after the English club signed Antoine Simeone from Bournemouth for €65 million.
Meanwhile, City needs to sell at least one player during the current winter transfer window, or loan one out, to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
According to reports, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have both made moves to sign Marmoush, but the “Egyptian Prince” has rejected the idea outright.
Some German media outlets have reported that Bayern Munich recently expressed interest in signing Marmoush on loan.
Marmoush is not interested in a loan move to any club and would prefer a permanent transfer if he were to leave Manchester City, making a move away from the Etihad Stadium this winter virtually impossible.
Marmoush wants to stay with Pep Guardiola’s squad and fight for his place, but he is also open to leaving if he feels his chances of playing regularly are slim.
It’s worth noting that Pep Guardiola wants Marmoush to stay, and he perhaps demonstrated this by starting him against Wolverhampton, where the 25-year-old scored his first Premier League goal of the season.
