Omar Marmoush has returned to Manchester City training after recovering from his recent injury that kept him out for nearly a month.
Marmoush suffered a knee ligament injury while playing for Egypt against Burkina Faso in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers last September and was expected to return before the October break.
According to English media reports, Marmoush’s pain has finally subsided, and he and Algerian Rayan Ait Nouri have returned to City’s final training session. The duo are expected to be ready to participate in matches again with Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Unless there is any news, Marmoush is expected to be in City’s squad for Saturday’s Premier League match against Everton, although he is expected to remain on the bench and be gradually introduced into matches.
Marmoush has played only three matches for City this season, totaling 150 minutes, during which he contributed to one assist. He has received considerable criticism for his frequent missed opportunities, which has placed additional pressure on him after returning from injury.
Manchester City currently sits fifth in the Premier League standings with 13 points, just three points behind leaders Arsenal.
