Macron invites the president of Real Madrid to France to discuss a serious “national issue”!

AS newspaper reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez arrived on Tuesday in the French capital, Paris, for an important meeting that will bring him together with French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to the report, the upcoming meeting will discuss many matters, the most prominent of which will be sports, and the talk here is about Kylian Mbappe’s participation with the French national team in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Real Madrid’s position remains firm in refusing any player from its ranks to participate in the Olympics for fear of fatigue, while Macron has more than once urged the world’s clubs to leave their players to his country in the Olympics.

When Macron meets with Perez, he will try to convince him to agree to Mbappé’s participation in the Olympics, especially since the 25-year-old will be the one carrying his country’s flag at the opening ceremony of the competition, in what is considered an event that all athletes dream of.

As described by the newspaper “Marca”, Macron now considers Mbappe’s participation in the Olympics a very important “national issue” for which he will do everything in his power to convince Perez and Real Madrid.

Mbappe is not the only one wanted by Real Madrid in France. Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouaméni may also be relied upon by coach Thierry Henry, and Macron’s meeting with Perez will include talking about them and Ferland Mendy as well.

In general, the timing of the Olympics is the main reason for Real Madrid’s fear of sending its players, given that it comes days after Euro 2024 in Germany, and thus the players will not rest for almost the entire summer, exposing them to severe fatigue and injuries throughout the new season.

The reference remains that clubs have the right to refuse the participation of their players in the Olympics as they are not included in FIFA’s international agenda.
