Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was enraged by his team’s loss to Chelsea in the 2025 Club World Cup final, and he did something unusual for him.
As soon as the referee blew the final whistle, a scuffle broke out between players from both teams, escalating to the point where coach Enrique entered the pitch and attacked João Pedro.
Cameras captured Enrique punching Pedro in the face before the referee showed him a red card, and the players prevented the situation from escalating further.

The incident is not expected to go unnoticed, as the Spanish coach could face severe punishment from FIFA, including a ban from the bench for next season and a fine.
The final minutes of the match saw altercations between players, resulting in João Neves receiving a red card after grabbing Marc Cucurella’s hair.
Enrique’s anger is understandable, given that Pedro scored a goal and provoked PSG players on more than one occasion, and that this is the first tournament Paris has lost this season on all levels.
