Luis Díaz to Liverpool: Renew or Leave Immediately!

Luis Díaz wants to decide his future this summer. He has been in contact with Liverpool officials in recent hours to explore whether he will stay or whether there is a pressing desire for him to leave.

The Colombian international has been on Bayern Munich’s radar for some time. According to German newspapers, there is an agreement between the player and the Bavarian club on personal details. However, the agreement between Uli Hoeness’s management and Liverpool’s management is still very difficult.

According to Colombian journalist Pepe Serra, Díaz informed Liverpool officials that they must renew his contract and improve its financial status, or allow him to leave immediately to Bayern Munich and end the saga.

Liverpool’s management previously promised Díaz an improved contract, but this has not materialized and no negotiations have taken place regarding it. This leaves the player and his entourage feeling disappointed and “betrayed,” especially since the Reds have already spent more than €300 million in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool has yet to make a final decision on Diaz, as they need to sell some players after the huge expenditure this summer. Meanwhile, coach Arne Slot is determined to keep the Colombian, or at least sign a replacement if he leaves.

Bayern Munich had made an official offer to Liverpool for €67.5 million, but were surprised by the English club’s rejection, demanding at least €100 million to allow the 27-year-old to leave. This led Barcelona to withdraw from the deal and opt for Marcus Rashford, while the Bavarians remain committed to signing the former Porto star.
