Lucas Vázquez has yet to decide on his next destination after leaving Real Madrid, and recent reports reveal he has received an exciting offer from a La Liga club next season.
As newspaper revealed that Espanyol is interested in signing the 34-year-old Vázquez and has already sent him an offer with assurances that he will have regular first-team opportunities.
The Catalan club is looking for a new right winger after signing Tyrese Dolan from Blackburn, and sees Vázquez as an ideal choice due to his experience and leadership.
Vázquez previously played for Espanyol on loan for the 2014-2015 season, making 39 appearances, scoring four goals and providing seven assists. He then returned to Real Madrid and became one of the club’s most important players of the last decade.
Despite the apparent temptation of Espanyol for Vázquez, the player has yet to make a decision on whether to accept or reject the offer, especially since he has other offers from outside Spain, particularly from the Italian league, in light of the reported interest of AC Milan and Juventus. It is also reported that Besiktas has tried to sign Vázquez in recent days, in addition to other reports that Saudi league clubs have been in contact with him, which leaves him in a state of confusion, especially since he never wants to face Real Madrid as an opponent.
