Liverpool Raises Newcastle Bid for Isak

In a few hours, Liverpool will submit a final offer to Newcastle for Alexander Isak, which would make the Swedish international the most expensive player in Premier League history.

Last month, Liverpool submitted an official bid to Newcastle worth £110 million plus add-ons, but the Magpies rejected the offer and informed Reds officials that Isak’s price would not be less than £150 million.

In recent days, Newcastle’s owners met with Isak to change his mind, but the player remained firm; he made it clear that he wants to leave St. James’ Park this summer, no matter the cost.

According to British media, Liverpool will submit a new and final offer worth between £120 million and £130 million, with add-ons, bringing the total value of the deal to £140 million.

Despite the legendary offer, it still falls short of Newcastle’s demands, which also find themselves in a difficult position to replace Isaac after failing to sign any of the previously mentioned strikers.

It is difficult to predict Newcastle’s final position on whether to accept or reject Liverpool’s offer, but it is certain that all options will remain open until the final moment of the transfer window.

It is worth noting that Isaac has not yet trained with Newcastle and has left the city and his home, in an attempt to put pressure on the club’s management to conclude the deal with Liverpool.
