Liverpool reportedly prepared to offer €180 million for Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to the transfer news website Fichajes, Liverpool are ready to pay €180 million to convince Real Madrid to part with the English midfielder.
Liverpool are looking for a new midfielder with Bellingham’s qualities, and his leadership qualities would ensure stability in the dressing room as the era of the old guard, led by Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Andy Robertson, comes to an end.
The deal would make Bellingham the most expensive signing in Premier League history.
Liverpool are keen to acquire the Real Madrid star during this transfer window. The deal remains highly complicated. Everyone at Real Madrid is happy with Bellingham and has no intention of letting him go, especially since his contract with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2029.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old’s stance on leaving the Santiago Bernabéu and moving to the Premier League for the first time in his career is uncertain, particularly given his repeated expressions of happiness at Real Madrid and his stated intention to remain in the Spanish capital for as long as possible.
Liverpool still harbors a glimmer of hope. On one hand, the Reds will work to convince the player that a return to England is the best move for him. On the other hand, the English club might capitalize on the growing doubts surrounding Bellingham following his noticeable dip in form, coupled with Real Madrid’s desire to generate substantial funds to finance major new signings.
It is worth noting that Bellingham joined Real Madrid in 2023, coming from Borussia Dortmund of Germany, in a deal estimated to be worth around 127 million euros. Since then, he has played 122 matches with the Royal Giant across various competitions, during which he scored 43 goals and provided 32 assists.
