Liverpool’s management has decided to end Mohamed Salah’s time at Anfield at the end of the current season, having already achieved so much.
This is according to the transfer news website fichajes, which confirmed that this season will be Salah’s last at Liverpool, regardless of what happens.
Liverpool’s management wants to profit from Salah’s departure, especially since his contract expires in the summer of 2027, at which point he can leave for free.
Therefore, the Reds have decided to let the 33-year-old go at the end of this season, hoping he will move to the Saudi league to be sold for a substantial fee, bringing a significant financial gain to the club.
Salah is attracting considerable interest from Al-Ittihad, with media outlets confirming preliminary negotiations between the Saudi club and the Egyptian star’s agent to finalize personal terms in the coming period.
If he moves to Al-Ittihad, Liverpool will earn at least €60 million, in addition to saving the “Egyptian King’s” enormous salary of approximately £400,000 per week.
