The draw for the fourth round of the English Carabao Cup has set up a blockbuster clash between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield, marking the standout fixture of the Round of 16, while Arsenal was handed a seemingly straightforward test on paper against Fleetwood Town.
The draw took place following Wednesday’s third-round matches after most of the qualified teams were determined, leaving only the tie between Manchester City and Norwich City to decide who will advance to face Brighton & Hove Albion.

Liverpool reaches the anticipated marquee matchup after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 in the previous round, while Chelsea secured their place following a thrilling 6-3 victory over Leeds United.
Arsenal will square off against the sole remaining League Two side in the competition, following Fleetwood Town’s stunning 1-0 elimination of Sheffield United in one of the third round’s biggest upsets.
The previous round also witnessed Manchester United’s exit at Old Trafford after a 3-2 defeat to Brighton, despite the Red Devils holding an early two-goal lead. Meanwhile, lower-league representatives Bradford City and Peterborough United continued their cup runs by defeating Leyton Orient and Barnsley (via penalty shootout), respectively.
With Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Sheffield United eliminated, the fourth-round draw guarantees that at least one EFL team will progress to the quarter-finals, courtesy of the head-to-head tie between Bradford City and Peterborough United.
