Lewandowski Ready for Inter, Balde’s Absence Confirmed

Mundo Deportivo reported that Robert Lewandowski will be fit to lead Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter.

The Polish international suffered an injury against Celta Vigo last month, and there were suggestions that his season with the Catalan club was already over.

The good news is that Lewandowski has recovered and began training with the group on Sunday. Accordingly, coach Hansi Flick will include him in the squad for the trip to the San Siro.

However, there is some bad news for Barcelona: Alejandro Balde is still nursing pain and will not be able to play against Inter.

Balde’s absence will put Barcelona in a difficult position, as Flick will be forced to rely on Gerard Martin despite his recent poor form.

Reports suggested that Flick would rely on Inigo Martinez at left-back to provide more defensive strength and give the team better quality in passing the ball out from the back.
