The newspaper “Sport” reported that Robert Lewandowski has made a final decision not to join the Saudi League, regardless of any offers he receives this summer.
The Polish star has attracted the attention of several clubs in the Russian Premier League, and his name has been frequently linked with a move to Al-Hilal when his contract with Barcelona expires next June.
According to the report, the recent wars in the Middle East were a decisive factor in Lewandowski’s decision to reject a move to the Saudi League for the remainder of his career.
The Polish striker’s family situation also plays a major role in determining his future. He seeks a balance between lifestyle, security, and long-term stability at Barcelona, alongside financial incentives.
Although Saudi Arabia is considered a safe country and is home to many international players, its geographical location bordering Iran, coupled with ongoing conflicts, remains a source of concern for Lewandowski and his family. Consequently, the player is now considering other options.
The 37-year-old had rejected an offer from Barcelona to renew his contract, so his most likely destination next season is either the American league or the Italian league.
