Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has made his final decision regarding his departure from the Catalan club this season and his move to the Saudi League.
Saudi media reported that the 37-year-old Lewandowski had recently received several large Saudi offers, while Barcelona’s management would welcome a sale provided they receive a substantial sum.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski has decided to remain with Barcelona this season, but is considering a move to the Saudi League in the summer of 2026, which he would welcome.
Lewandowski believes he still has the potential to contribute in Europe, as evidenced by his impressive performances last season. His close relationship with coach Hansi Flick and his high standing among Barcelona players make him feel comfortable staying until his contract expires at the end of last season.
The Polish international’s family played a significant role in his decision to remain at Camp Nou until 2026. Lewandowski’s wife and children feel very happy and comfortable in Catalonia, and the player also prefers to stay despite the financial temptations.
At the same time, Lewandowski realizes that his chances of renewing his contract with Barcelona after the end of next season are almost nonexistent, allowing him to move to any club for free. This way, he could earn more money through a hefty transfer bonus.
