Barcelona star Lamine Yamal sparked controversy after he was seen on vacation with a woman who looked significantly older than him.
Spanish newspapers revealed that the woman is Fati Vazquez, 30, while Yamal is not yet 18.
Photos of the two were captured on camera together on the beach, and Yamal immediately became a social media sensation.
Yamal received widespread criticism for his lifestyle, which violates Islamic teachings, and for jeopardizing his overall sporting career, given his young age.
Some people attacked the girl, accusing her of trying to exploit Yamal’s young age and the overall image of the scene as inappropriate.
In response to the attack on Fati Vazquez, she responded with a touching message, writing, “It’s sad to see how some people carry so much darkness inside them that they wish death on someone they don’t even know.”
She added, “To those who wish me harm, I wish you well—because no one who thinks well of themselves wants to destroy others.”
Yamal has been seen with several women recently, including the one with whom he celebrated Euro 2024 last year, but he has not officially announced his relationship with any woman.
