Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has confirmed that he has fully recovered and is ready to play again for the Catalan club.
Barcelona has been without their young star for the past two weeks after he returned from the Spanish national team camp with a groin injury.
On Friday morning, Yamal posted a video of his goals for the Blaugrana on his Instagram account, captioned, “Hello, I’m back,” indicating the completion of his recovery from the recent injury.
The 18-year-old will participate in Barcelona’s group training session on Friday, and coach Hansi Flick is expected to include him in the squad for Sunday’s match against Real Sociedad.
However, Yamal is not expected to start against Sociedad, as Flick’s main goal remains for the Spanish star to be 100% fit to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Barcelona received bad news on Thursday with Rafinha’s injury against Real Oviedo, limiting Flick’s attacking options less than a week before the PSG summit, and amid a massive domestic pressure.
With Yamal’s return, even if it’s delayed until the Paris match, he could replace Rafinha and return to the right wing, with Marcus Rashford playing on the left and Olmo in the playmaking role.
