Journalist close to Barcelona, Gerard Moreno, confirmed that Juventus star Adrien Rabiot has offered his services in the past hours to the Catalan club’s management.
The French international’s contract with Juventus expired at the end of this season, and according to Fabrizio Romano, agreeing on a renewal between the two parties has now become close to impossible.
According to Moreno, Rabiot’s mother and his agent have contacted Barcelona to explore the possibility of him joining Barca during the current summer Mercato, for free.
The only condition set by Rabiot’s mother is that he receive an annual salary of 8 million euros, which may hinder his joining Barca due to the rules of financial fair play.
So far, Barcelona’s reaction to the matter has not been revealed and whether Joan Laporta’s management is willing to try to include the 29-year-old or if she has other plans in the midfield.
News of Rabiot’s interest in joining Barcelona comes days after the Spanish media reported that Real Madrid’s management is looking at the Frenchman as an alternative to Toni Kroos and may try to include him in the Santiago Bernabeu.
It is noteworthy that Milan is also trying to contract with Rabiot, and it is said that negotiations have been ongoing between the two parties in the past few days, but without reaching an agreement yet.
